After a mere eleven years I finally decided to overhaul my website.

The previous instance of this site, which had been in place since 2013, ran on Wordpress. However this proved to be far more complexity than was needed. Both keeping it up to date with security patches, and keeping on top of the comment spam.

Some time around 2021 I gave up on allowing comments, at which point I was using precisly none of the functionality that Wordpress had to offer. But was dealing with the pain of keeping it running nonetheless.

Hence this rebuild, now using the Hugo framework to generate a nice, easy to secure, static site from Markdown files. Much easier to keep on top of, and now I can write an content in Vim rather than some online editor.
